Psychiatrist and author Irvin Yalom, MD, has been a leading figure in the field of psychotherapy since he first wrote The Theory and Practice of Group Psychotherapy (now in its fifth edition) in 1970. Other significant contributions were Existential Psychotherapy and the NY Times bestseller Loves Executioner and Other Tales of Psychotherapy. He has written four novels on psychotherapy: When Nietzsche Cried, Staying on the Couch, The Schopenhauer Cure and The Spinoza Problem. He has just published what he claims to be his latest book, Becoming Myself: A Psychiatrist's Memoir. His works, translated into over 20 languages, have been widely read by therapists and non-therapists alike.

Victor Yalom

Victor Yalom, PhD, is the founder, CEO and cartoonist of Psychotherapy.net. He is a licensed psychologist with over 30 years of clinical experience and has conducted existential-humanistic and group therapy seminars in the United States, Mexico, and China. He has produced over 60 training videos in psychotherapy, counselling and addiction treatment.
